Not including Protective Services,
Library or Health Services, the Town of Cobourg added one new
employee for every 124.7 new residents to the town, between 2011
and 2021. On the other hand Owen Sound added one new employee
for every 3.4 residents that left the city.
Owen Sound hired 22 employees during
this period when the population reduced by 76 residents. the
question is why is the city expanding the city workforce when
out population is shrinking?
